This website was designed to offer an introductory exploration of some of the most influential images and cultural events in art design and creation from The Stone Age to Byzantine. It is divided into 3 sections or Journeys.

  • Journey One -(Trimester 1) –                                                                             The Old Stone Age – Ancient Near East
  • Journey Two– (Trimester 2)                                                                                              Egyptian – Aegean – Ancient Greece
  • Journey Three– (Trimester 3)                                                                      Etruscan – Roman – Early Christian & Byzantine – Final Review

Each Journey has Lessons (The Stone Age, etc.) and each Lesson has Studies that will explore more of the Lesson. I designed this to work as an extension to the digital/virtual classroom and to have the Studies to be completed in 40-60- min per week for grades 6-8. However it can be adapted for other levels as well.  Each user can advance at their own pace or expand an art area with extra research and exploration. I value your thoughts, comments and suggestions. Please email me: Asherart98@gorge.com Enjoy, Peny Wallace – Retired Art Teacher
