My painting work is in acrylic and watercolor. And my inspirations come from the natural environment around me: the textures, the shapes, the colors and patterns. I am intrigued by the layering of pigments and textures. I photograph my images first then take a closer look at the bark of a tree, a shoreline full of rocks, shells, and sea creatures, the intricacies of the trunk of a tree, the veins in a leaf or the expression of a face.
