My work as a Lifecast Artist starts with an idea that focuses on the lines of the human form, or a particular pose – a moment stopped in time. I use alginate to create an impression on an actual model. Then I use a casting medium as the mold is removed, to fill it. To complete the sculpture I file to bring out the lines of the body. Some are finished as a wall hanging, some are a 360 degree artpiece.
